The world is a lot more connected than it was twenty years ago. We can share vacation pictures with our family and friends while still being on the other side of the globe. This level of communication does not only apply to our personal lives though.
Most people like to be out and about doing things, but that means we may not always be on-site when work shows up on our doorstep. Alternatively, your profession may actually require you to travel. Either way, both educators and businesses have adapted to the connectivity already demonstrated in our lifestyles. Colleges have made aspects of classes online and even full online courses, and many businesses have positions which exist only because of the accessibility of the internet.
However, just because something can be done over the internet does not mean that you will always have the capability to do it. While smart phones, Laptops and tablets are normally perfectly capable of connecting to the internet, it does not mean that you can always get what you need to do done through those devices. To provide an example, here are two things which can hold you back when trying to get a task done on a tablet, laptop or Smartphone.
Differences in operating systems can be vast. Not all programs designed for Windows work on MacOS, and vice versa. It should also be noted that often times when using a Smartphone or tablet OS or Laptop rental, certain program functionalities may not be available to you.
Generally speaking, smart phones and tablets have far less processing power than laptop rental. This may not matter if you are only doing things such as writing emails or watching videos, but more intensive tasks, such as video editing or graphic design work, require more processing power. However, the latter example may require more power than what is available even in high-end laptop rentals depending on what you are doing.
If you need processing power alone and don’t really care about the weight or size of the devices you are moving around, go with a standard laptop rental. If it is not broken don’t fix it right? However, if weight and size do matter in your situation you should consider the benefits of a 2-in-1 laptop.
2-in-1s offer a lot more portability than what you would get from your typical computer rentals, as you can use them while on the move. While it is true that 2-in-1s weigh more than tablets, it is often a worthy trade off in order to get more processing power and software functionality. That being said, 2-in-1s still cost less than most regular laptop rentals, and often times they can hold their own when comparing processing power. In some cases 2-in-1s can even outperform their full-laptop brethren.
